I am a 58 year old retire Marine, Like to say hello to all, I now have more time with my hobby which are WWI & WWII rifles, Much Much to learn!!! I guess I may as well start with a question or two. I have a #5Jungle Carbine serial number BB6926 M/47C 1945, does anyone know what the BB stands for? and I have a No.1MK4* (T) with a serial number of 7L4227, can anyone sheld light on that number? Thank you, I will be posting many photos of my rifles as soon as I figure out how!!!
Well I left this post 2 years ago and know one has answer, I was going thru this site when I saw the original post and after reading it, I said holy ****, this dude got the same serial number on his Jungle carbine that I do, thats got to be rare!!! LOL, then I looked to the left and saw MY own User name!! Well I thought if was funny and should share!

Hi folks. I never realized how often I visted Milsurps as I surfed the web. I have enjoyed it's topics many times. As a beginner collector of military guns and supplies I'm sure I'll be back. Hang with the best!

Thank you for the welcome. I am pleased to have found a forum committed to military Surplus as have only in the past few year discovered the incredible quality and craftsmanship of so many milsurps and have started using several for hunting as well as target shooting. There is so much great information and experiences to share about milsurps that discovering your forum was not just a surprise but also a valuable great find. I will look forward to reading and learning and sharing........best wishes to all

Hi everybody, new member here. Found milsurps while searching for information on small arms. Been WW II reenacting for a couple of years now, joining my younger brother who has been doing it for about eight. Already found a few film clips very helpful

Hi All
Shooting for 25 years, I live in Scotland and have a commercial target SMLE NO1 MK3 with a 1907 bayonet, the gun shoots a lot better than I can.
