Reproduction No.32 MkII Scope Question
Hi
I'm currently working on "Making Up a Useable No.4 Sniper" Yes I've been reading Peter Laidler
's articles.. many many times. Great info.
Due to budget restraints I have opted for the reproduction No.32 MkII Kit from Munmrich.
When I turn the range drum it has a tight feeling between the 5-7 marks. The rest of the movement is very smooth, with crisp clicks at each mark. I was wondering if anyone else who has purchased the repro scope has had this issue?
Or if this ever occurs in the original scopes? My guess is that this is a "get what you paid for, made in Taiwan problem"
Thanks.

It is a quirk of some of the scopes. You can remove it but be prepared for a lot of work. Unless it is a real issue with you why really worry about it. Try SLIGHTLY loosening the four screws holding the turret cap and then rotate the range drum and see if that helps. Tighten the screws slightly, rotating the drum and then snug them down. The scopes do not have index pins and you have to play with them to get the feel of a British
32. If loosening the screws and rotating the turret does not help, I'm afraid you are in for a bit of work.

Thanks. I don't plan on taking the scope apart. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a sign of a more serious underlying problem.
