CMP Garand Barreled receivers

I received two non-correct Brs over two weeks ago. The first was a Nov. 43 and the second is a 5.9 mil. Both receivers look just fine, no rust. The barrels both gauged over 9 on TE and 3 on ME. I assembled the Nov. 43' with the parts that I had saved over the years and took it to the range. As expected, the groups were large but the rifle functioned just fine. Time to find a replacement barrel. Still a pretty good deal for a receiver and a great learning opportunity.
