    No "stacking swivel" on that M1 A, you will need to tie them together. Nice rifles all, but I really like the 1944. ( D Day, June 6, 1944)

    Here I am with my third M1icon Garand.

    It is an Italianicon M1 Garand cal. .308" Win model T1 which came out from Terni Armory Arsenal.
    There are few pieces of the T1 model : it has the original barrel 30-06S replaced with a barrel chambered in .308" Win and it is of the same exact lenght so it can share all the spare parts including stock, handguards and oprod with the 30-06S model.
    After the T1 model, Italian Terni Arsenal made the T2 model which uses original 30-06S barrels which have been cut of about 12 mm. to adapt them to different caliber.
    The T2 model needs a different stock, handguards and a shorter oprod.

    Here is the list of the drawing numbers and heat numbers.
    Since the rifle came out from an arsenal, it is very difficult to find all exact parts togheter.

    Serial number : 3,320,xxx --> end December '44
    Receiver : A18 D28291 35 "FAET 64"
    Barrel : FAT 7.62 m/m 1964 --> Same age
    Bolt : D28287-12SA RE5B --> from March '42 to July '42 --> Earlier
    Stock : FAT 64 --> Same age
    OpRod : D35382 SA --> Spare part --> ?
    Trigger case : D28290-WRA --> I must look for a SA one and replace the Winchester one.
    Hammer : C46008-7 SA --> Same age

    Here some photos

    I can finally stack arms

    Bizio, your op rod on this last rifle isn't a replacement part, it's an early op rod that was modified. Thus no revision number.
    Regards, Jim

    I had searched in a booklet and I misunderstood that.
