is stiff. This rifle looks to have been in storage for some time like this.
I guess that's better than being runny...
pcaru - try my method and you'll be AMAZED..report back..GREASED LIGHTENING won't hurt metal either.All that comes off is the crud. It won't remove Varathane but it'll damn sure remove old BLO
cosomline and all the accumlated dirt!!

Try removing as much as possible mechanically. (i.e. gently scrape with a soft implement like a popsicyle stick or tongue depressor. Then move on to the solvents and degreasers, heat etc.

I cleaned forever on this one. But it's done. I was readt to throw it in the dishwasher. I will post some pics of the cleaned up rifle when i get a chance. thanks to all.
