223 IMI Urban cartridge
Designed for use in UZI modified machine pistols and effective on most vests in use during the 1990's. Case is reduced to 22.95mm and uses a 46 gr bullet at 1902 fps. Did see some limited production but it is unknown if still in use today. The cartridge on the right is the Soviet 5.45x18mm pistol cartridge (PSM)

Can you please post a pic of your .223 IMI headstamp? I would like to see if it is similar to my examples.

My 223 IMI is made-up from a 223 GB cartridge that I got in 2008, excellent example as an original would be difficult to find. Any additional information on the 223 IMI cartridge ? is it still in use ? any other weapons available and how was the UZI modified ? If you look close at my example, you will notice the bullet is not correct too.
The 5,45x18 brass can be turned-down from 22 Hornet brass should you have a PSM and want to shoot it !

Here are my two original examples of the round, a ball and dummy, and then their headstamps:
They were supposedly used in modified and marked Uzis and Mini-Uzis, but I don't know how many were actually made. I recall seeing some Border Guards at Ben Gurion Airport with Mini-Uzis with stripes on the grip, and I have wondered if they were chambered for the .223 IMI, but I never found out.
