I think I saw one on e-bay. I will check later and post a link if I can find it.

I have no experience with stock duplicating machines but see some people advertising that service. Is that an option with fore ends? It might sound silly but it might be easier to get a bolt of coachwood shipped from Australia
than a complete fore end. has anyone on this forum had any experience with stock duplicating?

You may want to research that plan before comitting to it. There are some pretty restrictive export/ import restrictions for wood products. Perhaps some of our friends down under could comment on this issue.

Longbranch No4 Mk1
I have a Longbranch 1943 No4 Mk1 also, it was my Dad's. I do not know where he got it, or basically anything about it. I would like to know the caliber, where it was made, where I can get magazines, how big I get them, etc. I know those are great deal of things I want to know.
It has markings on it No4 Mk 1* Long Branch 1943 . I believe the serial number is 35L5_27, i cant tell what the character is between the 5 and the 2. Below that is E25. There is a SM near the bayonet attachment area. I hope someone can help me find a place where I can get
this info.

All the Long Branch No.4 Mk1 and Mk1* Enfield Rifles
are .303 and are essentially the same basic rifle ...
Check the MKL
, specifically the Canada Milsurp Knowledge Library (click here)
Here's a typical example you can read about and compare yours ..
1941 No.4 Mk1 Long Branch Rifle
1949 C No.4 Mk1* Long Branch Rifle
1950 C No.4 Mk1* Long Branch Rifle
Also, here's a link that will help with official markings.
It's a site provided by Amatikulu
with some good information to bookmark for the future.
