Just a quick update..... another quote from this .... ...gentleman....

Gas cutting of the bolthead due to gas escaping from a blown out case was the most common cause of Lee Enfield Rifleicon failures. Escaping gas would enter the extractor recess in the bolt head extractor lug, and blow out the extractor and portions of the lug or shatter the bolthead.
