You have a Gew 98M, which is a WW 1 Gew 98 that was rebarreled and the stock modified to K98kicon configuration in the 1934/35 time frame.
It is Not an S/42K, that is the maker of the new style rear sight. The maker & date of the rifle is on the top of the rec and from what I can see may be difficult to read.
The stock has been butchered, the bbl shortened and a civilian front sight installed. The rifle is not salvagable to restore to military configuration. It would cost more for the parts than the rifle would be worth.
Have a gunsmith put a good front sight on it and use it for a hunting rifle - that is all it is good for now.
