Unertl Posa Blocks or Something Else?
I have some of my dad’s ole Unertl blocks here(or so I think) and I wanted to know
what type/model scope blocks that I have pictured here are for? I heard everything from a Winchester M70 to a Remington Model 40 for the 700 Remington to the M1901A1 and M1922 models. Don’t know if they are Unertl or not. I been told the ones are Posa blocks with the letter and numbers located on the bottoms of the concave part. Other than that I'm clueless....
The first set on the left photo set has no markings at all and are all the same height. These blocks have a concave bottom and flat tops with all the screws to go along with them. No markings on them at all.
The middle photo and right photos are that are most of concern. They are all in different heights from the top left to right is marked on the concave bottoms with L V and V 21 the middle one is marked V and the bottom one is marked with V R.
Thanks for your knowledge and expertise. I dont have a clue. BTW these were loaded with that black cosmo.....
Regards,
jr.

The blocks pictured in the middle and on the right are Unertl Posa-mount bases. The half moon cutout is the feature they have.

Thanks John,
What do the letter and number mean on these blocks. Are these the early and rare military style posa blocks?
Thanks
