Anyone ever see one of these, Mills sling for Long Lee?
Seller states it's a rare sling for the Long Lee.
Could that be correct? Different looking sling. Possibly prototype or commerical/pvt purchase? Ray

Possibly, the claw looks US but it's not the same as the mills canvas Krag sling which is like the British
sling, Ray

I thinks it's the long part of a web version of the M1907 sling.

I think you might be right as it does look like part of a sling. Does any one have a photo of a Mills 07 sling? I'm not sure if I've ever seen one, Ray

I have one of those slings, have no idea where it came from.
It does work well on a Krag
carbine as a carrying sling, as a shooting sling, not so much

Which sling are you referring to that you have, the Krag one, or the one in question, or the Mills 07 sling? Ray

The sling in the first picture.
I also have the second sling shown in the picture, it came on a 1905 Ross rifle with US marks on it, making it one of the 20,000 that came over in 1917.
The web material is slightly different between slings, though they both seem like Mills made gear.

The webbing looks like what one finds on some of the low budget Indian knock offs of P37 kit. The thing looks like the long bit of a webbing version of the US leather slings for the Springfield and Enfield 1917.
Could it be one half of an Indian knock-off of the US sling?

You're right. The sling is only one of two parts. Anyone buying this Item on eBay will have a difficult time finding the other part to complete it.
