Since the sight was on backwards, I got it swapped around. Got some updated pics, also.

After cleaning 70 years of grime off the sight, which took quite a bit of elbow grease and time, the WI appeared!

How did the military keep that rear sight from drifting around during WWII? I know they "solved that problem" when they staked the &*%^$ out of the adjustables later on, but this one came off and went back on with incredible ease???
