Charlie, I had Tim Shufflin, who does a lot of parkerizing stamp the stock. The S'G' stamp is wrong so no chance someone would take it as real. As for the rust..I think it's the camera, no rust up close looking at it,,may be grease. It's a legit S'G' flip, bought it from a trusted guy on the CMPicon board for $125. A few months ago there was a legit S'G' highwood on ebay that went for $550. Next project will be my last Carbine restoration project, an IBM..will post pics.
