It's a Mk1/2. Thunderbox has seen more commercial No4's than I'm ever likely to see so what he says is most probably correct. Although why anyone would re-engrave it, especially re-engrave it wrongly is wierd!

I have run into that "Four-and-a-half" marking before, thought it a bit odd (funny, actually) but did not know that it was anomalous.

Good reason to have the camera with me next time I go "shopping"!
