1941 Long branch "Waisted" sight protector
Anybody got a picture of the correct 1941 waisted front sight protector and base. Is it the same as the Brit one?

Hey, no slapping! I do not have a waisted Long Branch foresight protector, so how the heck could I upload pics?

I'm referring to the photos in your thread that were merely links to a photobucket album which is no longer a valid address. Now when folk go back through the thread looking for visual information it's no longer there! That's one of the things that makes this such a useful site- old threads can be excellent references. And can sometimes be brought back to the forefront of discussion if the situation warrants.
So!

For comparison and with thanks to Advisory Panel
member Lance, you could check the Canada - Milsurp Knowledge Library (click here)
A rare 1941 No.4 Mk1 Long Branch Rifle (click here) .....
There's lots of pics of them there, including showing various fakes and how to spot them ...

Checked some of mine and the only difference is in the markings and also a VERY slight variance in the knurling on the top edge.
