Dave, you need to write a book, tell all about your travels, the sights you saw, what you lived through.
I have read books about guys in VN and all they did is just tell their stories, from beginning to end. They used a lot of cuss words though.
You could make a mint.
But you do need a catchy title. Something like "The Trials and Tribulations of DaveHH." Or, "I Ate Inch Worms and Bugs and Lived to Tell About It".
If you need help, let me know.

Shooter: Did someone slam a door and wake you up?
You are not clever and not smart, you bring a knife to a gunfight. It isn't amusing anymore.

Dave,
I was wondering the same about my scores from 1969.
Often you do well when I do bad and visa-versa. If the comparison says anything, it's that you and I seem to have different parts missing, as the chart below shows.

Navy formed the Marine Corps? Nonsense. Washington was responsible for asking for the Marine Corps to protect the Navy. You are right. The Marines loved to dance with the Waves!
By the way, the Marines did give everyone an aptitude test, which qualified me for OCS.

Ah yes I remember Dalat so very well. Flew a days or two up that way. Some pretty far in places with some SF camps, I guess after this many years I can talk about some of that sort of stuff. I know what ya mean about the weight and food thing I went from 180 to 130-135 by the time I got home from my year of R&R in the Republic of South Vietnam. Having the apple two step for a year didnt help your weight either.

Having the screaming meemies on patrol was indeed a bit rough. That big white rear end made a really good target, just ask old Bulldog from Mississippi. I sure felt sorry for the Corpsman. Having no TP made it worse. Went through a lot of socks.
