I don't know alot about Garand either but you might want to have a gunsmith check it out. I have read on CMP forum where a lot of guys buy them swap parts around to make another one more correct then sell the others. Was bolt swapped? Was headspace checked? could yours be one? Guess it would depend on seller.If it checks out ok probably be good shooter as far as I know. Maybe someone who knows more will say. Looks like what they call a mixmaster. you can also learn alot by searching this forum I've learned alot in the short time I've been looking.
