Follow up...I checked with the seller..apparently, some of the Garands that were returned from Denmarkicon that ended up at the CMPicon had terrible wood. He purchased the gun from them "woodless" then purchased the stock and hardware from CMP...he found the paperwork that came with the gun and is mailing it to me...I'll report on what that says. The seller knows guns and reports the gun fires fine. How accurate, I don't know...I'll get to the range yet this week and see how it does...thanks for the quick replies....
