First post.......First Lee Enfield
Hello all,
I have just purchased my first Lee Enfield,I am curious that it does not have the place of manufacture stamped on it, there is a crown with GR under it then the Letter E the year 1942 and Sht. LE 111*,also above the crown O is stamped it has matching numbers prefixed by the letter M, X is stamped on the butt , can anyone help to ID it for me?or do I have a dud! Sorry no photos still trying to work it out.
Thank you,
Gerry.

It's a 1942 "Dispersal" rifle...produced by BSA, whose manufacturing facilities had been dispersed to various scattered locations in order to avoid German
bombing. Looks like a good one from here.
