I would say the Canadians are selling them for $35.
$60 is a good price and based on what they are going for on ebay, you'd sell them for $60 because few are going to find the Canadian
site although I did list it a while back in the bayonet section.

The Canadians are selling brand new factory manufacture, unserialized Victorinox bayonettes with the sheath for $35.00? I say you're wrong. I know the source in Switzerland and the wholesale price by the case to the US or anywhere else is more than your posted selling price.
They're not the same bayonettes.
BTW......... I'm not selling them. My Dad is friends with the General Manager of a large firearms accessories and parts company that you already know, and they often come to him for bulk purchase advice on new things relating to Swiss
rifles.

Not "like new", not "unissued", brand new from Victorinox. As for serial numbers, this is from my Distributor in Europe who makes his living with Swiss
firearms and all Swiss militaria. He's not connected in any way with this US import deal nor am I.
"these bayonets were made matching to the rifles in Swiss arsenals at the time of issue of the rifle to the soldier and when a bayonet was lost or broken it was replaced in the same way, nothing wrong with that.
Elsener Schwyz (Victorinox) was the manufacturer of the bayonets and they came without a serial number
Inother words they were not given a serial number until mated with a rifle but........... If a rifle was refurbished and no longer had it's bayonette, or it the bayonette was damaged, a new one (just like these) was reissued and stamped with the same serial number, and it happened often.
I'm not going to argue with you. Swiss Products doesn't have an interest in this deal. I'm doing this posting simply as a favor to the Dealer concerned because it's a great deal on a new Victorinox bayonette that wwoon't come around again like this. Nothing at all is sold on or through firearm forums ever on any level. It's a large retail dealer that many of you have already purchased from.
If you're not interested Aragorn243, why are you wasting so much time typing about this? I heard you the first time. I assume the rest of the membership can think and act for themselves?
Ok gents. They're on the way to the dealer. As soon as they're sorted by wood type, I'll post who it is that has them and how to order.

One person here is arguing, it isn't me.
You asked a question, I answered.
You told me I was wrong and these are not the same bayonets, I corrected you.
You now tell me again that I don't know what I'm talking about yet you tell us these are "brand new" bayonets and not "unissued" bayonets. Brand new means they just came off the factory floor and have little to no collector value. Unissued means they were produced during the normal production run and never mated to a rifle, they were crated and placed in storage. Which one is it? If they are reproductions, I'd like to know.
For the record, I purchased a Model 1918 Swiss
bayonet made by Elsener Schwyz (Victorinox) for the sum of $35 slightly over 3 months ago. In like new issued condition with serial number and in an unissued scabbard.
And since it seems to have been missed on TWO occasions, $60 is a good deal for one of these on the US market.

Three times is a charm? Like new isn't new. The chances that your rifle's bayonette is the original is about 60/40%. It may have the correct serial number, but neither you nor anyone else alive knows if it is in fact the original, serial number or not.
I'll post when they're available for the rest of the membership. You're not talking to a Swiss
cherry, bud. Take care and .................. stay low.
