The bayonet the Canadians are selling is a 1918 Swissbayonet in like new condition with unissued scabbard. What you are describing is a 1918 Swiss bayonet in unissued condition with unissued scabbard. My bayonet is serialized. I prefer that as do most collectors. The serial number on Swiss bayonets indicates the year it was produced and assigned to a rifle as the serial number matches the rifle it is issued with.
The Swiss are also selling unissued bayonets for the Sig 57 and these are going for about $25. Being new/unissued/unserialized does not make it a "better" bayonet.
You asked what we thought so you could make a decision. I'm telling you what I think. $60 is a very good price for one of these in the US but it is NOT the lowest price that can be found, that is the Canadiancompany I mentioned earlier and their bayonets are $35 US plus shipping and handling of course which adds about $17 to the final cost. Condition of my bayonet as received is the same as those in your photos.
