Bren book?

What is quite interesting is that after the war Belgium claimed to be making Mk2 Stens at its Racour factory. I won't bore you with the detail as the whole sorry saga can be found in the Sten gun book by whats-'is-name (page 213). Suffice it to say, on closer examination, 3,000 were rubbish and the whole batch were rejected! One of the examiners went so far as to suggest that the guns were no more than wartime air-dropped guns, refurbished and dressed up for sale abroad.

Maybe they wanted to restart their arms industry. I'd like to go over some of this locally made kit with a fine tooth comb and set of vernier calipers.................................

Not sure what the UK were charging for parts after the war, but if they were anything like what the stock price is for some items now I would imagine it would have given some incentive to manufacture localy ?

I have just been informed that Small Arms Review have now fully edited the Bren Gun book that I've written over the past ?????? years and are coming to the UK later this month to do some final tidying up and get some last photographs and retake some of the previous rubbish ones!

After that. the final layout and that's it. I've felt let down several times before, but this time...............
