I know what you're all saying - and I was going to go into one of my '....well how do you account for this' sagas with another example..... but I won't. Like I always say, I'm not a historian, just an Armourer. So instead of going into bleedin' obvious mode I'll ask this. Does anyone have an examiners stand-alone mark with any other numbers UP TO 56 under the LB logo. Just a thought. What about LB47 or 23 or.......... anything? Or even above 56. Of course, I'm being silly now but might it be that a barrel examiner just gave himself the LB-56 mark like someone at BSA gave himself the UB61 mark. There's a LOT of them about too, and they're all on 1961 rifle barrels
