Rick, I was given a bunch of gun parts at the pawn shop where we first met. In those parts was some disconnectors and selector levers, 15 each. I contacted a guy I know at ATF and even though Fed law says OK, Washington law prohibits possession of any machine gun parts. I boxed them up and turned them in. FYI
RCW 9.41.190

Plainfield used to make M2 carbines and shipped their M1 carbines with M2 slides and hammers. They used a hardware store washer as a spacer to take up the gap in the hammer that would be taken up by the disconnector in a M2.
I'd like to have a fake M2 selector setup, like some make fake selector parts for the M1A
and other M14 clones. It would take a trigger housing, selector switch, spring, and the pivot pin from the disconnector trip lever.
OTOH, who needs the grief just to annoy the busybodies at the range?
FWIW; AFAIK; IMHO; YMMV; yadda, yadda, yadda.
