Now I finally found the pictures!
Book theory often recommends a sight picture like this:
Attachment 36224
But real world eyes see something like this:
Attachment 36223
You should try for something like this:
Attachment 36222
That wil not only bring down the POI to a sensible height, but will be better centered!

Or just do like me and never get rid of anything. Oh wait ,that does not work because then you can't find anything and end up with several of everything. Never mind.

Well today I ran into old, I mean OLD, Carcano ammo. Italian
military brass and primers with 160gr Soft points. I bet this stuff was made 40 years ago. They pulled the FMJs and replaced them with SPs.
Pity I could not find a bunch of FMJ Carcano slugs!
Of course that ex-military stuff I bet has corrosive primers to. Will see what I find there tomorrow as I'm allowed to rummage back there where they have tons of old stuff (and I love doing that!)

Found some WW2 Carcano ammo! Yes real FMJ in 6.5 AND 7.35. Dunno if I'll shoot it or not. Also some .303 FMJ and steal jacked U.S. .45 ACP ammo. And what looks like 6.5x55 FMJ (I'll have to bring my calipers Thursday to make sure.)
I'm afraid it's all collector stuff now.
