Copy of De Lisle Carbine?

There's a copy of a De Lisle Carbine for sale on the weapons guild. It's not supressed. Made by Prexis in Arizona. Does anyone have experiance with these?

Does it look "correct"? Or does it look longer than the original De Lisle?

These guns were made up by Valkyrie as far as I know, and are pretty close to correct looking. I think they also make(or made) a surpressed version.

Actually it looks shorter. Rear sight is in a different location and front handguard is shaped different.
The length from the bolt face to the end of the suppressor is 18 1/2 inches on my VA DeLisle. The suppressor body itself is 16" So with 2 1/2 of the barrel in the action the fake suppressor can be a little more than 13 1/2" long and still cover the legal 16" barrel. So the over all length would be around 33 1/2" compared to my DeLisles' 36"
Note my rifle has the long stock.

I thought about it, but cannot bring myself to drill into the receiver to attach the stock and I'm not a stock maker so the pistol grip looks like it would be a challenge to make and fit.
At one time Valkyrie Arms was going to make a few of the para prototypes, but I don't think it ever came to be.

I,ve had the folding butt and looked at all ways to build a De-Lisle , but to build an exact replica (in the UK) its a section 5, to build it any other way to me is defeating the object, because the whole De-Lisle part is the supressor, its just too short to comply with our rules.

Yes. The are chambered for .45 ACP and used Colt 1911 pistol magazines.

Is prexis still in business? How do they mark their arms and where are the markings? I have a replica without any markings and wonder if it is one of theirs.

The De Lisle Carbine eh, that brings back some memories. When our Government considered us to be a little, but not a lot, more trustworthy than they do now I used to own a De-Lisle replica that was a take down and fitted into a briefcase. Sadly as you rightly say it would fall foul of the reclassification and would most definitely be S5. She's probably a manhole cover or something similar these days but fortunately for me I sold her on before 1996, can you believe it's been 16 years since we lost pistols?, so didn't have to hand her over for destruction.

I wonder if I've got any old pics kicking around? If I have they'll be on the old fashioned film and negative stuff for sure, still at least it's not glass plate negative.
