Been holding some for years, might be time to hit the for sale board, $150 holy moly.
You are saying you got a great price on the rifle. If it's as nice as you think, do you want to put a repo sling on it?

I just bought a 100% original WWII C tip for 5 bucks at a local show. You just have to look and be patient to find a good price. Not saying you will find one like I did but you can get a fair price if you are patient.

yup even a blind squirrel will find a nut every now and then. I also found a original M1907 sling in great shape for $5 but these finds are few and very far between.

Well, actually, no I don't want a replica sling on it -forever. I just plan on using it until I find an original I can afford!

If anybody is upset about high prices I have advice. Find the high prices of everything you own, and sell them to me for 25% of the retail price. I will then sell them for 1/2 the retail price and save everybody money looking for the items.
A quick history. I was at a show and a guy purchased a stock pouch for $8.00. His father was upset with him saying he had seen them back in the 1950's for 50 cents. He had recommend his son not purchase the pouch.
I asked if he had purchased any, and he said he thought he had a few in his garage from years ago, but not sure. I told him I would pay $1.00 for each pouch so he could double his money. He answered me with a very high NO and said if he finds them I will have to pay at least $5.00 each for them because I sell them for $8.00.
I then told him he was part of the problem of high prices by refusing to lower the selling price. He smiled, shook my hand, and said I was correct and he agreed.
Everybody can be upset by high prices when looking to buy, but they are never upset when they want to get rid of an item they have.

I see a few slings offerred on ebay for $130-$150+, but how many of those are sold? However, supply and demand will control the price and CMP
just sold about 30K (I think) carbines w/ no slings on them. Get your checkbook out because sooner or later the supply of original slings must completely dry up, except maybe in California.

Hey, watch it, I'm in Calif and I have some original slings.
