7.35 Carcano ammunition
Guys,
I've found a interesting lot of 7.35 Carcano ammo.
Boxes have a pull wick that opens the box.
Ammo dated 1939.
Any idea what they are worth?
I see from google:
7.35 Carcano in the Original Italian Military Box
$45 a box! If so my friend who has a .30 cal machinegun box of 'em has some money!
I just don't know if that's a realistic price.
thanks,
Deaf

Prices at which I've purchased 7,35 ammo have ranged from US$5 to US$15. But the last I found surplus were about 3 years ago. Not that I go looking for it! I just get whatever turns up locally.

I've bought and sold a few of those over the last 5 years. The last pair went last month for $30 for the pair. Condition is very important, but I have never seen any Italian
7.35 box actually sell for over $25. Sellers can ask whatever they want, but............

You have to be a pretty stubborn reloader to re-use those odd-ball Berdan-primed cases. And it's not worth the effort now that PRVI make new cases. Necking up the 6.5 cases to 7.35 never was a problem anyway. But the clips are pricey, and over here can fetch about 4-5 euros each, depending on how desperate the buyer is. So jmoore, I reckon you should buy all you can at 15 dollars or less - it's the old "they aren't making them any more" argument.
But 45 dollars a pack! I doubt they have sold many at that price.

I see more and more of the 7.35 showing up and less and less of the 6.5.

Graf and Son's is selling PCI ammo right now. I looked into PCI and it seems for the most part to have good reviews but there are a couple of guys that are really ripping them pretty bad. The price isn't bad at all at around $22-$23 a box. I thought about getting a couple of boxes, haven't made up my mind yet.

I placed an order with them this afternoon for two boxes. I expect it will be fine. Just seemed like one or two individuals that had problems and blew things up a bit out of proportion. Hard to tell but a lot of other guys have shot thousands of rounds with no problems at all.
It is one of the few calibers they have in stock.

Let us know how they shoot. Mine will probably not be one I shoot much but I do like to be able if the desire arises.
BTW Here is the one I passed up. Now on Gun Broker.http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=332109448
