bizio,i think you will get more responce if you put this post on the [krag rifle] spot
looks good to me ,late 1898 rebuild.
the stamps on the under side of the barrel are a little diferent,must be itailan?

I don't know whether to buy it or not.
It's not on sale in Milan but very far from here, so I should get my decision just looking at pictures only. 
It's a very hard decision to take.

it looks to be complete and seems correct , its been rebuilt, but dont think stock is changed as the original stock should be dated 1903 for that serial number range [ 398566-460407 ] there were 61,841 made in that year , the second last year of production , the finish is far from perfect but looks original , as long as its not too expensive i would go for it
