That's an M1
hammer in an M1 trigger housing. I'm sure if you search this forum or even google you can locate pictures of both M1 hammers and M2 hammers which clearly depict the cut required to accomodate the disconnector of the M2 variety. The receiver looks like it was drilled for a scope. There is no difference between the M1 and M2 receivers except for the marking, either M1 or M2, i.e.

Bonus points if you can id the manufacturer of this M2

Phew. I just googled it. Yeah, OK, I'm good. It took me a while to find one that showed the left side, but I see the selector switch attaches to the pin.
Got my underwear in a bundle for nothing.
I have no clue who made that one. You got me. I'm still learning all this stuff.
Thanks for helping me!!!

With the clean M2, not a 1 over stamped with a 2, my guess would be Inland not Winchester. The marking looks all machine stamped, so a later Inland.

I think you'll find the holes in the reciever side are for a scope mount of some kind.

Wineman, you are correct, the receiver ring is that of 7.5million Inland, but perhaps not for the reason I originally supposed.
From my own examples, Winchester labelled theirs "CAL _DOT_ _DOT_ 30", as did US&S ...
Any rationale for this variation in receiver ring markings? Ruth makes no mention of this.

Got it. It's kind of a bummer. Actually it's a real bummer. Oh well.

Not all that bad actually...just put it together and head for the range. Shoot the p*ss out of it...or send it to Chuckindenver and maybe he can fill them for you. Either works out the same. Shooter...
