Does a low number inland receiver make it worth more than others????
I was thinking not, but somebody suggested so.
It turns out my Dad's Inland with an IBM barrel is 269,XXX. That's like in the first bank of numbers. I think it's an arsenal rebuild. It has many up to dates items and the stock has a P and a rebuild mark on it. I can get pics up soon. I'm almost done going through mine and I'm going to start going through my Dad's.
But I was just curious about that issue. Thing is, it seems like this one has a better potential to be a better shooter. Mine just seems like it might be a basket case. I found another thing on mine that might not be good. There is a horizontal "mark" on the inside of the chamber of mine. It looks like some kind of scratch or imperfection. It seems like it's perfectly horizontal though. Meaning, not an an angle at all. Maybe I can get a pic of it.... Well, I was having problems. I need a stronger light source.
Anyways....
I wish there was someone in my area who was an expert on these, so I could bring them by and have him look them over.

Just my opinion, but by the time you get into the six digit numbers it doesn't make any difference on a rebuild.

If it is original or correct, then definately so. The early parts are rare, hard to find and expensive if you do. Of course condition means a lot also.

It seems in really good condition. But it's a rebuild. I'll be tearing it down and I'll find out if some of the stuff is original, but the bolt and op slide obviously aren't. Bayo lug, rear sight. If the stock is original, it's been made to low wood. It has all the right marks though.
