I haven't checked it in a while. I wanted something else from them and the shipping was so high it wasn't worth it. The bayonet, definitely for that price. I think I got some brass enfield cleaning tubes off them at the same time which made the $17 shipping more bearable even though the bayonet and shipping alone was cheap. If I remember right, the cleaning tubes were made inexpensive in the deal because I was essentially getting them with no shipping.

Hi, the price in Switzerland is about 50-65 Swiss Franc ( CHF)
It's to say about 50-65 US$.
Take care : some SN have been milled.
So the place were you find the SN is flat instead of round.
Not easy to make the difference
THose bayonets are scarce in Switerland

Not that scarce, k31/43. (Nice rifle, by the way)
To date 3,500 of these un-issued bayonets have been sent to the US. All of these were replacement bayonets for the Swiss Army. When a bayonet as lost or damaged, a new one was then serialized to the soldier's rifle and re-issued. That's the reason none of these bayonets were ever serial numbered. I have a lot of them here and it's easy to tell when anything is milled from the surface. They are all virtualy mint, some made before 1952, some after.

I believe Swiss bayonets were serial numbered to the rifle. So, if not a replacement, the bayonet should have been manufactured the same year as the rifle. Years of manufacture of Swiss rifles can be found on the net with a search.

Yes, they were serialed to the rifle, but not necessarily made in the same year. They were made in large runs and only stamped when the rifle was issued, otherwise many hundreds of them remained un-marked for years.
