On AR15.com retro forum, there is a "Pay it Forward thread" for retro AR stuff. We need one for M1Carbine (or that period's items, etc) stuff. We sort of have it with long time members through PMs, etc, but this would open it up to newer members.
Rules are simple:
Bill has an extra handguard for example, he offers it free including postage. I take it, and I offer up something M1 carbine since I take it. Say a nice Type III band cut to Type II or a recoil plate screw. The person who takes the type II band from me, then offers up something M1 carbine-ish, say a safety catch or maybe an empty WWII bandoleer, etc. If you take something, you MUST offer something in return. Even if you didn't get something from the board, but feel like being nice, you can offer something up that you have extra, then if you see something later you want, you have paid in.
