    Thanks, I have been really lucky.

    It is kinda like an "almost potbelly' stock. It is heavier in front of the mag well than a standard M1icon and early M2 stocks, but not a huge potbelly. It really feels nice in the hands. I bet it will be a good shooter, The bore is mirror bright and it is about 1.5+ ME. I checked the trigger guard housing, and it is not M2, nor is the slide an M2. I checked for import marks, and could not find any. Maybe under the bayonet band.

    Anyone got an idea of "Born on Date" for serial No. 2,143,800? It is going to take some effort to bring out the barrel date. Only one digit "4" in the second half of the date is clear, but I don't know if it is XX-X4 or XX-4X
