Windows 8 it sucketh mightily!
Bought the wife a new Dell PC for an early Xmas present. Needless to say, it came loaded with Windows 8. There is nothing intuitive about the system. I suppose that it is making a weak attempt a looking live a tablet. Damn, doesn't anyone at Microsoft understand that some of us look at a PC as a tool?

It comes with the standard Microsoft guarantee - The next version will fix all problems.

Look at it this way, at least it is not asking for permission for every click/touch.

Icons are the language of the future thanks to Apple.
We, like all mankind and Microsoft, must evolve or perish. At least that is what the Gurus of Silicone Valley would have us believe.

Gave up on Windows ages ago. Apple´s about the limit that I can absorb.

MS is betting that the age of the computer as it is now known has come to an end and that is why we have Windows 8. Now it's the I phone and Tablets that are now taking over everything and for most of what we use a computer for the phones and tablets can do just about as well. There are limits but the powers that be in the computer industry have decided to go this way. Soon everyone will have their computer with them 24/7 and using apps for all their needs just like Windows 8. For a computer system like all of us are using,Windows 8 does not work well. I tried the beta version two different times and found it to be nothing but a headache from start to finish never mind the times the system would freeze or take you around in circles without getting to what you wanted. No this OS is not for me and I would not recommend to anyone. Might work very well with a tablet but not on a computer.

I have given Windows 8 a bit more thought. I f one buys a PC with a touch screen, it becomes a bit more like a smart phone and noticeably more user friendly.
