My best Kar98kicon is this early flat-base zf41 rig, including the scope can.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Mine is a reworked Gew 98 that later became an Israeli 7.62.

    I have a few K98kicon rifles.
I have ALL of the Borgiswald rifles - S/243G thru ar 44. I'm only missing the S/27G of having all of the Erma rifles and I have about 25 Styers. Unfortunately I know of another 20 Styers that I don't have.
I also have 2 SS rifles, a Gew 98 rework and an 30s vintage built rifle.

    My k98'S

    I have 2 K98kicon's,

1st, is a 1941 'H' code Portugese, unissued, and in excellent condition. All matching including sling, unfortunately bayonet is missing. very nice rifle. Smooth action. Was my first WWII rifle.

2nd is a James River Armoury K98 Repro High turret sniper. In its former life it was a BCD43. Overall I was surprised at the condition of the rifle. Workmanship was ok, and the only faults I could pick up were that the front scope mount wasnt perfectly matched to the reciever and that the scope was shimmed in the front ring.
I figured that I'd make a mess of making a repro K98. but would happily buy one.... Currently working up loads using Nosler 200gr HPBT match and ADI AR2208 powder. Shoots well, but has a kick....
