    L39 owners..... are you aware?

    Are you aware……..

I wonder of L39 owners are aware that their rifles SHOULD be fitted with a specially modified magazine catch. The photographs show that the inner surface of the catch has been modified by the addition of a second slot. This slot is to enable the sear spring to be lowered slightly thus reducing the trigger pressures without affecting the double-pull trigger or adjusting the angle of the cocking piece. In effect this gives the unit Armourers the ability to reduce the trigger pressures to BELOW the service standard requirement in order that the rifles can be used in civilian competitions where a lesser trigger pressure is allowed. But, importantly, the rifle can be easily reverted back to service standard. A thing that couldn’t be done easily if the angle of the cocking piece was altered.

There, another useless bit of Enfield knowledge.

I am not aware of this feature being available on the Enforcers of Envoys, but it might be!

Regards and Christmas wishes to you and all the family
