This thing looks like a Sedgley 1903 "type" rifle to me. I once owned a pretty nice specimen and my memory isn't too bad yet. The blue job exhibits the same type of heavy handed "polishing" before hitting the bluing vats. The stock actually looks real though, as Sedgley stocks only had a single reinf right behind the recoil lug. The Enfield frontband is slightly shorter and the stock is usually trimmed to match, so now would no longer have the proper length for a 1903.
Oh, the "thing" sold for $812.75. So Steve, you just saved yourself from an expensive lesson.
