Old Forums Archives?
I posted this over in the milsups.com Q&A sub-forum a couple days ago. Lots of reads, but no answers. Maybe somebody here can tell me?
Last summer I'd asked for an eval of an M1903A3 I have. I wanted to look that thread up to note the pertinent info I got back. Are there (hopefully searchable) archives of the old forum's posts available? I tried searching here on "archive," but no joy.
I'd hate to have to ask the forum members to repeat themselves
Thanks.

Probably not, since the old forum is shut down. Don't take this to the bank, but probably they dumped the whole files "lock/stock/& barrel". ( I love a good pun). Ask again, many questions have been answered repeatedly on CSP
, so the same should repeat itself here.
We all would like the OLD back, but all HAVE to proceed into the FUTURE.

Heck, we aren't going to remember it anyway (I can't remember yesterday), so you might as well ask again.

Jim,
You seem really down on your self lately. Remember, you are not getting older, you are getting better! I think maybe you need a big hug from one of those trashy ladies you refer to in your posts. That should straighten you right out! (In loo of the trashy lady, hug your Harley!)

Thanks, everybody, for the replies.

Sorry, must have missed this one ...
Here's a response I gave in another forum with a similar question ...
As far as the old software goes, if Gloria gets here (spoke to her last night) and she wants to move back to the old software on a different server, we'll help her to accomplish that. Remember, we only agreed to be a place holder to save her dying site before the Unix box completely collapsed. I told her again, the
CSP
community is welcome to stay for free here as long as they want, or until she decides if there's someplace else she'd like to take it. We're an interim host for CSP, NOT the owners of it... the ownership and legacy belongs to Dick and Gloria to decide.
In the interim ~Angel~ and I just paid out $400 U.S., to help guarantee and preserve Dick and Gloria's old data articles and post legacy. We hired a systems guru who's one of the best in the business in regards to Unix, to work all weekend to organize the old server and back it up in a focused and structured manner, so we can get all of the legacy data, articles and pics off of it.
After looking at it, he said he was surprised it was still running and he hadn't seen anything that convoluted in 20 years. He commented
"I can certainly do this, it's going to take some time though. That server is a mess and there's stuff all over the place. I would safely say that it's a very large job to go through the whole box and get everything pulled together. There does seem to be a lot of data and the way its laid out just makes it hard to find everything."
We're doing the best we can with limited resources while holding down a full time job to pay the bills ....
BTW, thank you very much to everyone who has voluntarily helped out by becoming Contributing Members. Very gracious of you folks and we sincerely appreciate it.
Thanks for the feedback....
Seamus, I hope that somewhat helps answer your earlier question ...
Regards,
Badger
