It's because the Eastern Europeans were always (?) so slim - or certainly not carrying the vast amounts of blubber that seems to be the norm these days. Have you walked around Oxford or Abingdon recently? I saw one whale this morning who wasn't just weighed down with rolls of it, but with the weight of the ink in her
According to the latest news It seems being slightly overweight/obese can increase your lifespan by 6% !!
Think we should all revert back to lard, everyone seemed happy in them days.

This clown was on the TV again last night pontificatring about the fact6 that while the cameras don't show anything at all, he has found a new crate.......... Then it showed a HUGE paddy field alongside where these aircraft are all buried. Are you already thinking what I'm thinking..............?

Peter, I think if there was anything buried there it would have been filled with and soaked in water for years until it turned to oatmeal. Look at the condition of your weapons that you maintained...they were above ground. I think this whole things a load of old tripe...noting would have been buried with care. The dozers would have driven over them as they were filling in.

Which reminds me of another reason that i don't mess with old warbirds anymore. The field is full of pirates! And then there's the liars. Sorting those folk out from the real enthusiasts isn't easy-until it's too late!

Every statement he makes is massively overblown given the apparent (lack of) scale of any new development. It makes me wonder if he's a fantasist. Naturally if they pull out bright shining spits from the crates (nice and clean after sitting underwater for 70 years) I will eat my words. My gut feeling is that it is all something of a con.

No! All of you! Of course it´s true. Just yesterday I saw elves in my backyard. And Father Christmas brought me a cavalry sabre I´d always wanted. So there!
PS
AND ... I got them all in the black at 100 metres with my short *rsed Werder recently. These are all things you´ve gotta believe, `cos some of them are true.

This is so true! My Dad had an aircraft business when I was growing up and every other client was either a nonpayer, selling jets that didn't exist or selling swamp land in Forida. Something about aircraft attracts alot of flim flam artists. I learned early on to be a skeptic. Salt flat

I suppose Warbird collectors are a target rich environment for scammers like so many other groups of folks who are wealthy and passionate about their interest.
Still a bit "Loch Ness" on this story but hope springs eternal.

Listening to the Today programme on Radio 4 on the way into work this morning - they're reporting the archaeologists with Cundall have now gone through his interview and documentary evidence and assessed what they've found so far on the dig - and they believe there are no Spitfires there and never were.
