    STG 42 MK1 REL Scope

I take it members have seen the above on that well know sale site. Ref No 31057176277
Looks VERY expensive to me at 249 Euros but I mention it in case anyone is desperate for spare parts.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Hi Peter, Sorry about that must have missed a digit. It is 310 571 762 771 and is stil listed 09:00 25th Jan. See also 261 160 046 669 for a rather expensive No 32 mkII at Aus $ 2800 / 1858 UKicon Pounds.

I suppose that with the No32, you are getting a bracket too. But that price for a bog standard No42 is absurd. Mind you, we've all said that before haven't we?

As a matter of just academic interest, is anyone interested in learning what to look for and the questions you MUST ask before buying a No32 unseen except for photos on any of the auction sites? Say so and I'll do one of my spiels.......
