Howdy from Houston, Texas
I ran across this site while googling for some info on the old Lee Enfield milsurp rifles. Looks like a pretty nice place, so I think I'll stay a spell.
I own a few military surplus weapons: three Enfields, a Garand
, a 1911A1 (a clone, so not really milsurp), and four 1909 Argentine
Mauser actions, which I plan to use one of these days to build a set of custom rifles.
Back in the 1990s, I had an FFL and used to do the SoCal gun shows, and in those days I frequently sold milsurp weapons, so I've previously owned quite a few. The above ones are those that I elected to keep, however, once I closed up my gun show business.
I'm a lot like Bob from Oz. I like Enfields and I don't really know how to explain it -- I just do. My Enfields are a No1 Mk III Lithgow
, a No1 Mk III* dispersal weapon, and a No4 Mk II Fazakerly, one of the supposed Irish Contract rifles, made in 1955, and never issued.
Okay well, I'm gonna go look around now. See y'all on the boards.

Hi Everyone
New member, I collect WW1 rifles, badges and equipt for select Canadian
Battalions that my relatives served in.
I have a Ross MkII bayonet that i recently purchased that does not have the press stud. Does anyone have contacts for sale of these parts or the replacement procedure?
Thx

Stumbled across this site while looking for firing pin info for my 2A Ishapore. Since I have a few old milsurps that I tinker with this looked like a good place to find answers to questions that have stumped me.
I hope to learn alot here cause I have a lot to learn!

New collector/vintage enthusiast
Just enjoying the wealth of knowledge I recently found here when searching for information about collecting and basically informing myself on several vintage WWII aged weapons that I'd like to purchase, sight correctly, maybe even modify to modern stock configs and shoot. I currently have a custom M1D 'sniper' model Garand being built for me. I am a 10-year Air Force vet and handled M1
Garand models extensively for years serving on the Base Honor Guard as a Flight Lead; leading military funeral honors & ceremonies for fallen comrades in arms, retirees and other veterans. I always loved the vintage feel and handling of the M1 as well as perfecting and then drilling rifle teams for the flashy tossing and drill maneuvers that always left crowds spell-bound. I loved being part of that team and serving period.
Now my health is declining (even at such a young age) due to late stage cancer and am just hoping to enjoy some classic rifles before I decline past that certain point of no return and hope to gain some of the classic feel of owning and shooting some great what will become collectors items for my family later on. But for now, I just want to learn as much about a few models and hopefully own a few to shoot and pass on to my son.

HELLO from South East Ohio
Hi Fellas, I've been lurking in the shadows around here for awhile now, gleaning any and all valuable knowledge that you guys might cast upon the waters. After more or less giving the hobby up 25 years ago to go truck driving across the country and pretty much losing my first collection in a nasty divorce, I'm back. I have always loved old Mil-Surp weapons.
Norinco SKS, Yugo
SKS, K98
Mauser Sporter, Spanish FR8, SMLE Sporter (hopefully restore-able), Mosin 91/30, Swiss
K11 Sporter, Remington Rand 1911, S&W 1917.
