I got a full set of Birch out of Numrich about 1985 when they had bags of stuff still. Brand new and perfect. I just couldn't warm up to the blonde look though.
    Regards, Jim

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Calfed, those are the ones I got from the CMPicon in oct 2009. Reminded me of the Mitchell's Mausers, new wood and all brand new finished metal. I took one to a big gun show with two original finished all correct Garands cartouche and all and lastly pulling the incorrect one out to show and they all said wow that's beautiful. Needless to say that really surprised me.
A couple of weeks latter I went to the buyers house and he showed me the stock after he refinished it and it looked brand new and dark like the ones in this thread.
