    I have a few similar boxes from both Frankford Arsenal and Lake City. Bullets were packaged in these for sale through the DCM as reloading components. If yours look something like these, that's what you have.

    In spite of the hand written "172 Gr.", the box contains 150gr. M2 Ball bullets.
