    I had some time this afternoon and took it apart. As expected, very little rust anywhere on it, just a couple of small spots of surface rust on the barrel band interiors. All the parts that are stamped appear to be stamped Terni but what it interesting is that the receiver was made in April of 1917. So not only did they rework the barrels on these, the receivers were also reused. So the Italians did pretty much what the Finns and Soviets did.

    I found another odd ball stamping under the butt plate that was over stamped partially with another Terni marking

    If anyone has a photo of a Finn front sight for one of these, could you please post it so I know what the front sight is supposed to look like. A source for one would be great too. I expect the Finn sight is a lot better than the original Italianicon blade so I'd like to keep one on it if possible. Springfield Sporters lists two types of front blades on their website but I don't know if either is the Finn version or if there are two versions of the Italian blades.
