    Yes, restoration is definitely looking like the way to go. I am however a bit curious as to how much a helmet like this is worth in its current state. Thank you, I appreciate the help.

    You are absolutely right. Ever since I've inherited this stuff I've been learning quite a bit. I had to laugh though. The other day I had stopped into one of those antique malls to take a peek and maybe even find a liner. Curious, I asked the owner how much a helmet like this is worth and he told me $150. I suppose that's the difference between a "dealer" and an actual "collector". I don't think I'll ever get rid of it though. I like it way to much.
