Hi, We didn't kill anything yet, no opportunities but lots of range work and reloading.
I like the 150 grain Prvi and the 180 grain. Both were good. Winchester 180 grain was accurate but more expensive. Tried Hornady 180 grain but the nasty steel cases expanded and were sticky in my rifles.
I have reloaded the Prvi cases repeatedly and I am VERY happy with them, the Winchester cases are much harder brass. I bought Lapua brass but remember that these are slightly shorter.
For plinking I load Hornady 123 SP bullets with Federal primers and Target powder, this gives me a fast, flat shooting round that gives me the smallest groups and should handle game such as deer. My planned Elk load is 180 grain Speer, same powder.
Not sure if this helps,
Mike
PS the mosin sniper rifle with original scope is awsome with the 123 grains, 5 round group, 2.5 ins at 100 m first day out from decades of storage and what a cool sight configuration!Information
