I have a 1942 Husqvarna m38 that has been turned in to a sporter, I would like to find an original stock set to put it back in original condition, anyone know where I might find one.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. You can get an M96 stock and cut it down. That's what I'm doing. It is appropriate as this is how a lot of the M38's were made. My original stock is a cut down M96 stock.

M96 stocks are a lot easier to acquire than M38 stocks. Cutting and fitting the nose cap and spring will be challenging.

I have a number of 38 & 96 stocks, but I don't think I can ship them to the US from Canada icon

I bought them years ago from the estate of an old gunsmith.
