my second Ross
I have this Ross and it has no model or s/n. What is it?

Very nice Ross, Arado, and a wonderful piece of history.
It's a Mk II 3* Ross, made in 1907. Given you are in the U.S., highly likely that it's one of the 20,000 shipped to your country to be used for training. If so, there will be a flaming bomb and serial number on the underside of the wrist.
I'd have to do some digging on most of the other markings, which indicate regimental ownership through the rifle's history, but she served some time with the Royal Canadian
Garrison Artillery, which was responsible for the protection of the military garrisons in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Esquimalt, British Columbia.

yup, I checked and it is us marked. here are bayonets for the rifles. in my collecting i bought bayonet for rifle.

Your rifle is a Mk. II 3*** and the serial number is 144 V
The Ross was not marked on the metal. Only commercial Ross's and the HG were marked and others were marked by the British and other users of the Ross after they left the factory.

Thanks Warren, I am in a conundrum. i have no heirs who enjoy guns. I am organizing the disposal of mine. That is why the questions and pictures. as in example, what is this worth? plus a Walther HP. etc...... all I need is my TT33.

30 years ago and I still have it and the no.2's that use it. I worked out a deal today to have my guns auctioned off on the Internet by another long time friend. much better than sitting behind a table at a gun show.
