Thanks for the post Sarge. When I was visiting that area in 2003 it appeared that they were preparing for the 100 year anniversary and were doing a good job of restoring headstones. I was with three friends and we talked to more than one worker who was engraving and commented later that they must be in the initial stage of repairing in anticipation of the countless who will visit.

We actually thought things were in pretty good condition considering the passing of time and the Vimy Memorial was is dire need of restoration. Thankfully that was completed in 2007.

"Saw some of my fathers friends", oh so many and so young...shed a few tears....changed my life.
